Biography of Shibu Soren - Early Life and Career

Shibu Soren, the current Chief minister of Jharkhand has had many struggles and many steps to take what he wanted and give what he wanted too. He is today the chief minister of Jharkhand and is aiming for the highs. This post contains details about his life and his family too. It includes details like children of Shibu Soren, and relation with Jharkhand Mukti Morcha

Shibu Soren was born in Nemra village, Hazaribag district, Jharkhand state, India. Most of his childhood including his primary education, he completed in Hazaribag itself.

After completing his education, Shibu Soren married Roopi Soren. Shibu Soren then decided to work with his father Shobaran Soren. He has three sons, namely Durga Soren, Hemant Soren, Basant Soren and a daughter, Anjali Soren.

Shibu Soren, in his 1970s started his political career. He was a person, then, who wished the welfare of the people, especially the tribal people. On 23 January 1975 he participated in the mob attack at Chirudih to drive away those who helped the people those who were exploiting the poor and helpless people, especially the Santhal people. He was charged with murder case. In fact, the symbol of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha and Chirudih mob attack are interrelated. The attack was carried out with weapons made out of the forest resources, like bow and arrow which is today the symbol of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha.

The first Lok Sabha election of Shibu Soren was lost by him in 1977. Shibu Soren became the Lok Sabha member. However, he lost it in 1986 because an arrest warrant was issued in the name of Shibu Soren. However, he got that seat back in 1989 and also became the Lok Sabha member in 1991 and 1996. Shibu Soren became Rajya Sabha member in 2002 with he help of BJP (Bhartiya Janta Party). Also, he became the Union Coal Minister under the government of Manmohan Singh, the then Prime Minister of India. However, after he was found in the Chirudih case, he had to resign from the post.

However, he spend about a month in the Jail and but got the bail on 8 September 2004. His post of Union cabinet was given him back after the bail. He is considered the founder of Jharkhand state because he played the key role in disintegration of Bihar State and foundation of Jharkhan State. However, he was defeated by Gopal Krishna Patar on 9th January 2009 regarding the by-election on Tamar assembly constituency. Shibu Soren and Raja Peter (Gopal Krishna Patar is also known as Raja Peter) talks were really popularized in Jharkhand state in those days.

He has been made Chief minister of Jharkhand three times. The first time he was made was from 2nd March 2005 to 12 march 2005, just for 10 days. Next he was for some months, from 27 August 2008 to 18 January 2009 and after that, he was made chief minister of Jharkhand on 30th December 2009 and is ruling till date.
