BJP Bihar Meets with Election Commissioner of Bihar- Bihar Assembly Election 2010

Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) has reported about the issues relating to Electronic Voting Machines(EVMs) which will be used in votings during Bihar Elections 2010. They have seeked advise from Election Commissioner of Bihar regarding the matter and likely to hold meeting in future among all election parties of Bihar for solution.

It was not before anyone could have hold any meeting, Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP), Bihar set to have a meeting with the Chief Election Officer of Bihar for ensuring more protection and security during the Election Campaign of Bihar 2010. According to BJP Spokesman of Bihar, Ravi Shankar Prasad, the major purpose for setting up the meeting is to ensure that security and officials remain tight during the Election time in Bihar and further should have the paper back-up of Electronic Voting Machines for more efficiency of Election voting system during Bihar Assembly Election, 2010.

BJP, Bihar is asking to make the EVMs for a full-proof security so that it can reduce the elimination of Votes per person during the time of election in Bihar. It was believed that all the political parties who took part in the Bihar Assembly Election 2010, are facing some problems regarding Electronic Voting Machines in Bihar. In that process, BJP has suggested to call upon a total meeting of all the parties in Bihar to discuss about the bug and solve the issue within the specific time so that later on there remains no confusions and chaos for Voting systems in Bihar.

In such a regard, BJP has called upon the Chief Election Commissioner of Bihar, Mr.S.Y.Quraishi to set the required process to solve the matter before the Election in Bihar. In such cases of Electronic Voting Machines(EVMs), there must a paper back up of Voting System in Bihar so that manually votes can be taken into consideration without any conflict regarding the EVMs in Bihar. The Electorates of Bihar under the supervision can guide out members to post their votes with regards to EVMs or paper system under no objections.

BJP Senior Leader, Mr.Kirit Somaiya said that there are two companies which issues the Electronic Voting Machines with the system of paper-back up facility. They are - Bharat Heavy Electricals and second is Bharat Electronics Limited. It should be made an early call before the dates come closer for voting of Elections in Bihar. The Election Commissioner of Bihar has considered the request and making the requisite methods to bring forward the issues among the other Election Parties of Bihar too with a general call of meeting.

Regarding the security related issues, the securities will be alloted to definite places during Election Campaigning in Bihar and additional measures shall be taken for more various access to safer Election in Bihar. The EVMs will be tested and will be verified with tested experiments and shall be reported to the Election parties as appropriate in time about the measures taken care of. The Bihar Administration is making note of activities and providing them the necessary help to requisite parties for easier access of Bihar Lok Sabha Election 2010.

On a good note, the BJP Bihar reported such an access to Election Commissioner of Bihar, otherwise there could have been chaos in later parts of Election in Bihar. On a whole, it was a nice work done by BJP, Bihar to report such a threat immediatedly.
