Oriya Recipe Mutton Curry

Ingredients for making mutton curry

  • Mutton pieces-1kg.
  • Oil-150ml.
  • Onion(chopped)-200gm.
  • Ginger paste-100gm.
  • Garlic paste-100gm.
  • Cumin paste- 2tbsp
  • Chili powder-2tbsp
  • Turmeric powder-2tbsp
  • Garam masala powder-1 and 1/2 tsp
  • Bay leaves-4 to 5
  • Tomato(chopped)-200gm.
  • Water-250ml.
  • Coriender leaves
  • Salt to taste

Procedure for making mutton curry
Take a pan.Heat oil. Add bay leaves,onion. Fry till golden brown.Put ginger, garlic paste, Fry for 5 minutes. Add cumin paste, coriender paste, turmeric powder, chili powder, stire well till golden brown. Add tomato chops, salt. Add mutton pieces. Blend well for 15 minutes. Add water. Boil 15 minutes. Put garam masala and serve with coriender leaves.Taste best with rice.

Ingredients for making chicken curry

  • chicken(skinned,boned and diced)-1kg
  • oil 150ml.
  • onion 200gm(chopped)
  • ginger paste 100gm
  • garlic paste 7-5gm
  • chilli powder 2tbsp
  • turmeric powder 2tbsp
  • cumin powder 2tbsp
  • garam masala powder 1 1/2 tsp
  • crushed cardamo(gujurati)- 4
  • coriender leaves
  • tomato chopped 7-5gm
  • water 200ml.
  • salt as taste
  • bay leave(teja patra)4-5

Procedure for making chicken curry

Take a pan. heat oil.put onions,fry 3-4 minutes. add ginger and garlic paste.stire tii golden brown. add chili powder, cumin powder. Stire 5 to 7 minutes. Add chopped tomato. Stire well. Add chicken and salt. Blend well. sTIRE 10 minutes. Add water and boil. when chicken is done add garam masala powder and serve with coriender leaves. Taste best with roti.
