4. Temperature of maximum regions of Himachal remains cool throughout the year. Temperature reaches 40 degree Celsius in the valleys in summers and dropping below 20 degrees Celsius in winter in the hills.

5. Himachal Pradesh experiences an annual rainfall between 152 cm to 178 cm.

6. Himachal Pradesh is bordered by Jammu and Kashmir in the north, Haryana in the south, Punjab in the west and Tibet in the east.

Within Himachal we have airports –Jubbarhatti airport in Shimla, Gaggal airport in Kangra and Bhuntar airport in Kullu.

12. Famous railheads near or in Himachal are as follows-Kalka, Una, Anandpur Sahib, KIratpur and Pathankot are the closest broad gauge. Narrow gauge lines- Kalka to Shimla and Pathankot to Jogindernagar.
