CBSE curriculum for Science and Mathematics in SSC
From the academic year 2011-2012, the local SSC students will not find it however to crack tests which are like to AIEEE and IIT-JEE as the upgraded SSC syllabus of Science and Mathematics will be implement instate. The State government felt that the complexity level of these subjects was not as high as in the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) syllabus. The state syllabus required up gradation as all-India professional entrance tests are based on CBSE curriculum.
Vijaysheela Sardesai who is head of state set up a committee, in 2009 to examine the two curricula. The committee suggested up grading syllabus of Mathematics and Science so that the state board students can complete with their counter parts from CBSE when it comes to cracking exams such as AIEEE and IIT-JEE. Maintaining in mind guidelines lay down by the National curricula Frame work, 2005 and future of students, the government up graded the curricula of Science and Mathematics.
