This temple is the first complete granite temple in the world. Brahadishwarar Temple is the best example for Chola's architecture. This temple was built by the Raja Raja Chola King (985 – 1012 AD). It is also called as Big Temple. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. This temple has 216 feet tallest tower over the shrine.
UNESCO has declared the Brahadishwarar temple is one of the world heritage Monument.
Palace is available I heart of Thanjavur . It is just 1 KM away from the Brahadishwarar Temple. The Palace is surrounded by huge fort walls.
