Sivaji 3D scenes

Current 3D movie in theater is "Life of Pi". While watching this movie Sivaji 3D trailer was released during interval. I can't believe that they made 3D scenes very cleanly. Below I have given the list of scenes that I saw in trailer and other scenes that is to be available in movie.

1. In "Vaaji Vaaji" song, while Tamil actor Rajinikanth sings "Un kaal kolusoli pothumadi, pala kavingargal karpanai thavidupodi" he will strike his thigh with his hand. At that time dust will fly. This dust scene was captured as 3D. While looking from 3D glass this dust will come towards your eye.

2. Shreya swimming in the pool – In this scene we can feel that water drops falls in our body.

3. In "Thee Thee" song Rajini throws the gun and you will feel as such it is facing towards you.

4. While Rajini flips the coin, you can feel its coming towards you.

These are only few things. Many scenes were converted in 3-Dimension frames. It seems technicians has did some magic in this movie. While looking at this scene I could not believe that it has been transformed into 3D. The frames are so real and creates a thought this movie shooting is done in 3-D camera.

Sivaji Initial stage

This idea for Sivaji movie in 3D was given by Prasad Studio president Mr.Sai Prasad. Producer AVM and this studio owner were friends for decades. This studio has got latest EFX technology and they have done many famous graphics. There graphics were popular at all over India. They have a desire to convert a whole movie into 3D and they choose Sivaji movie suites best. So Prasad Studio contacted producer AVM and they accepted to proceed.

Duration of Sivaji movie is 3hr and 10 minute. Now the duration of 3D is reduced to 2hr and 32minute. They first aimed to reduce this movie to 2hr but they can't reduce more than 40minutes. This movie has released before 5 years. Now the copyrights was bought by Sai Prasad.

Sivaji 3D Making

This 3D conversion was done by 400 technicians. They worked for day and night and it took 1year to complete. Rajinikanth don't know about this at initial stage. Only after completing this work it was said to him. This is first time to implement this technology on movie. So the technicians kept this information secretly. Music system of this movie use Dolby Atmos technology. Recently Serin theater of Satyam, Chennai has installed this technology. It cost 20lakh to install this technology. Only 100 theater has got this Dolby Atmos sound system in world. Serin is the only theater in India to have this technology.

Rajini was surprised with this movie. He clapped in cinema theater like an audience. He was impressed by the work and praised the technicians.
