Victoria Memorial- City's Pride

Victoria Memorial is one of the India's most beautiful monuments. It is a majestic and attractive white marble building , located in Kolkata, the capital city of West Bengal.

Victoria Memorial was founded in the year 1906 by the Prince of Wales, and was built in the memory of Queen Victoria. It is also served as a tribute to the success of the British Empire in India.

Sir William Emerson , a renowned architect, laid down the actual plan of the monument. The design of the structure represents a mix of British and Mughal architecture.
