Construction of roads are helping Bengal to develop and provides a better infrastructure in the state. Here are some details which shows how the development of roads helps us.
The roadways of Bengal is playing a important role in the development of Bengal's economy. The roadways play a important role in the transportation facilities.
A development of roadways effect the economy in a vast way. Due to building of new roads especially highways it creates an income opportunity. A road linking a village with a down can develop the village completely.
This is due to the reason that people of that village can travel to the city and search for job, this will result in increasing the bus services. If there are proper roads linking a area to another that means there is a better transportation facility.
A industrialist will now set-up his Industry in an area where the cost of land is lesser and as there a good link too there will no further problem associated to the transportation of raw materials to the industries and distribution of the finally produced goods from the industries. This will obviously decrease the cost of production of the industry.
Not only cost of production, it will also effect the employment of that village. With a new industry in the place there will be a need of labour force in that place. As a result people will get jobs there. The transportation of goods will also need drivers and other kind of wage-paid labours thus creating an employment opportunity in that place.
There will be new shops settled on the roads thus creating a market for the goods as well as employing people there.
Thus the development of roadways is always a better decision as it leads to the development of several other facilities too. Once a new road is built to a place automatically the place will be full of Industries within few years. Industries means more development as a result schools and colleges will also be made in that place and hospitals too.
The Government of West Bengal had helped this development in a huge way. It is constructing new roads in many places and developing the existing roads of Bengal. A example is the construction and development of the G.T Road or the national Highway. This had led to the development of many regions of West Bengal. Especially Durgapur. Many new industries are developed in Bengal due to the construction of this road. Thus causing development of Bengal.
