Biography of Shaan
Shaan with other name Shantanu Mukherjee was born on 30th september 1972 in a Bengali family. Manas Mukherjee, the great music director is the father of Shaan. Jahar Mukherjee was his grand father. His sister Sagarika is also a superb singer. Shaan has married with Radhica and became the father of two sons Sohan and Shubh.
As a child artist Shaan has started his career with singing ad jingles. Shaan has started his grown up career witha remix album Q-funk in the year 1995 which made him the winner of Asia's Best solo album award. Only in 15 years of age in 1989 Shaan sang a line in the song of movie Parinda.
Shaan showed his marvelous quality of singing, composing and lyrics writing in the albums 'Tanha Dil' and 'Aksar'. Not only his own album but also his voice takes part in Bollywood films like pyaar mein kabhi kabhi, Bas itna sa khwab hai, Lakshya, Dil chahata hai, Kabhi alvida naa kehna, Don and many more. Shaan also roled as a host in the famous reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa on Zee TV and Star voice of India on Star plus. He was awarded with Best TV music director. In the year 2000 the beautifull song 'Suno Naa' of movie Jhankar Beats gives him Zee cine award for Best play back singer in male. Also he got the star screen awards for the song ' Chand Sifarish' of movie Fanna in the year 2007. Shaan was invited for the cultural festivals of various college. With singing Shaan has also gave role as an actor in the film Daman with Raveena Tandon.
