Shahi Paneer - A rich dish


- 400 gm paneer
- 2-3 Green chilies
- 2 Medium Onions
- 1 Ginger
- 4-5 Garlic Pieces
- 1 tablespoon Red Chili Powder
- 3/4 tbsp Turmeric Powder
- 3/4 tsp Garam Masala Powder
- 3-4 tbsp milk Cream
- 1/4 cup Dry fruits (Cashew Nuts, Raisins)
- 1/2 cup Milk
- 8-10 tbsp Vegetable oil
- Salt- to taste


Heat oil in a fry pane. Cut Paneer into small cubes. Fry over medium heat until it becomes light brown. Sauté the dry fruits in one tablespoon of oil. Grind onion, ginger, garlic, and green chili in a blender and make a fine paste. Heat one spoon oil & Fry the mixture until golden brown and oil starts separating. Add all the Masala- salt, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala. Sauté it for 1-2 minutes. Add milk to make the gravy & leave it to boil. Reduce the heat and cook until the gravy becomes thick. When gravy is ready put the dry fruits in it. Now add the paneer cubes in it & cook it for 2 minutes. Finally garnish it with grated paneer, 1 spoon cream & remaining dry fruits.

Hi Nupur , YOU really sent a nice recipe for shahi paneer .but please allow me to tell you that one spoon of sugar added at the end will make it a true shahi paneer recipe.
