Mba sarpanch in jaipur's village

Story of a lady sarpanch who holds an MBA degree and left job, corporate.

Nobody would believe that an MBA and a student of LSR (Lady Sri Ram College, Delhi) can leave the glamour and city life to become a Sarpanch (head of the village) in a village of Jaipur. It is very much true as 30 year old Chhavi Rajawat has left the corporate sector and taken up the reign of a village, Soda, 60 km from Jaipur on Feb. 04, 2010. It is really a great step. As an educated mother can teach the whole family, an MBA Sarpanch and that too a female can change the whole scenario of a village.

She wants to bring dynamic changes in her village by joining the village politics. Her grandfather was also a Sarpanch and the villagers persuaded her to enter into the politics. The villagers see her as the daughter of the village and she too considers the whole village as her house. She wants the women of the village to walk freely without the veil.
Her priorities would be to bring safe drinking water and increase job opportunities in the village.

It is an indication that in the time ahead, we will be witnessing more confident, more educated and smarter villagers.
