How to Reach Kinnaur

Nearest Airport from Kinnaur is Shimla (267 km) and nearest Raiilway station is also Shimla (244 km)

From Shimla take NH - 22 (The Hindustan Tibet Road) route. NH – 22 later on bifurcates to Kalpa from Powari.
Frequent HRTC and Private Buses and Taxis are available to Kinnaur and Kalpa from Shimla and Rampur.

Another route to reach Kalpa and Kinnaur is via Manali - Rohtang Pass - Kunzam Pass - Kaza (400 km).

CLIMATE of Kinnaur : Extreme cold temperature during winters even below freezing point. In summers also temperature is not very high and light woolens are recommended.

RECONG PEO (2670M) HQ of Kinnaur district is around 240 km from Shimla, 7 km from Powari and 13 km from Kalpa.

KOTHI : It is located Just 3 km from Recong Peo. Kothi is famous for an ancient temple of goddess Chanadika Devi.
