The CMD of New India Assurance Company(NIAC) indicated to newsmen today at an insurance seminar organized in Mumbai that the cashless health policy cover which was discontinued sometime back will soon be launched. The cashless health policy cover was discontinued by insurance companies) on the alleged inflating of bills by the hospitals. The scheme was discontinued in July this year. NIAC :""We will shortly launch a premium product with the cashless option so that the consumer has the choice of cashless hospitalization at premium corporate hospitals".
The move is further to the Regulator IRDA's clarification that the insurance companies were free to launch premium products to bring five star hospitals under the cashless health policy. — PTI
