City Police Thanks Mumbaikars for their Support During Obama Visit

Now that US Preident has left Mumbai and headed to Delhi, things have come back to normalcy in Mumbai. Though the Obama fever may take a time to let go, yet Mumbai slowly went back to its regular routing. Mumbai cops had a real hard time maintaining law and peace in the city for this one day with Obama's visit. But things were handled carefully and successfully.

The city police did an excellent job and standing together and handling the city together in peace. Around two days, the South Mumbai had gone in a silent zone since the Obama Visit. The roads look deserted and the onlookers were kept at a limited distance. Office staff all around Mumbai enjoyed holidays, since major restaurants and offices were shut down not for the Diwali fest, but for the security concerns related to the US President's visit. Major areas which are crowded all the time and are expected to draw crowds more during festival times like Fashion Street, Crawford Market, Sessions Court, BEST Ofice, St. Xavier's College and many more were shut down for these two days. Additionally Azad Maidan, Cross Maidan and even Oval Maidan which usually homes lots of practice matches, various events and comfortable sit-outs were shut and restricted for anyone's entry. N one was allowed in any area from where the Convoy routed to pass.

However, as soon as the 30-Vehicle Convoy of the American President passed on for the final time from Churchgate main road junction, all the restrictions were relaxed and things came down to normal. People could start moving around freely, tourists could continue with their sightseeing and office staff could get back to work. The cops in admirations of the successful response received from the residents and the Mumbaikars overall, put up huge Scroll Messages and Thank You Signboards all over Mumbai City.
