Here I have given review about the movie Poda Podi. Poda Podi is a Tamil commercial movie and its shooting started two years before. After many efforts this movie is screened successfully in cinemas.. This is one of the movie involved in Diwali race.
Poda Podi story and review
Poda Podi is a commercial Tamil movie directed by Vignesh Shiva. Main role played in this movie was Tamil actor Simbu, Varalakshmi Sarathkumar and Ganesh.
Varalakshmi Sarathkumar is a dancer and her aim is to win "Letz Dance" program. For the whole movie Simbhu and Varalakshmi will be in London. Simbhu meet Varalakshmi in a bar and feels that she want to make Simbhu as her life partner. Simbhu also loves Varalakshmi but he hates Varalakshmi going to dance class. So Simbhu feels that he want to convey his feeling that the dance is rubbish and it won't suit after marriage. After hearing this words breakup occurs between this pair. Ganesh says Simbhu that if baby is born girls can't dance. So with this idea he marry Varalakshmi. As per his idea baby will be born.
One day Varalakshmi meets his friend and that friend hugs Varalakshmi in front of Simbhu. Simbhu feels bad about his wife and he beats that friend. During the fight sequence carelessly the baby will met accident. This cause a breakup again.
Simbhu then convince her. She starts yelling that she needs to dance. Simbhu advices that touching other boys after marriage creates wrong image. This words distracts her from dancing. Finally after lots of coversation she decide to dance with Simbhu. After many efforts she teaches dance to Simbhu. Successfully they complete one round out of 15 round. And the rest of the story is will they win or lose.
Acting
Simbhu acting is good as before. He didn't used unwanted punch dialogue. Conversation between Simbhu and Varalakshmi is not so attractive. Varalakshmi to her part did well. Chemistry didn't work between them became minus. Ganesh did a fantastic job and made the theater to wake up from sleeping. Only his part is watchable.
Comedy
Comedy scenes were limited in this movie. Ganesh comedy and his body language were good. Ganesh is a full time entertainer of Poda Podi. Other comedy is not so humour.
Glamour
Varalakshmi glamour level is maximum. It shocked me this heroine acted too glamorous in her first movie. It looks she had done hard work for the character. In first half she was slim and in the second she was chubby. This proves she done some hard work to get that shape.
Dance
Before the movie release many commented that Varalakshmi had done a hard work. Yes, its true. As this movie is fully based on dance she done a great job on her first movie. Simbhu too danced great as usual.
Verdict of Poda podi
Can watch this movie for Ganesh comedy scenes. Some of the sensational conversation between Simbhu and Varalakshmi gives a great lesson to married women should be noted.
