Vijay Sethupathi Biography
Vijay Sethupathi is a familiar Tamil actor born in Tamilnadu. There is no information about his school and college life. He is a B.Com graduate and was an accountant in the initial stage. Then he did his job in Dubai for three years. He felt his life was boring as there is no growth in his job. He has a desire to act in movie even he don't know about acting. So he approached a koothupattarai. As there were enough amount of actors, Vijay Sethupathi joined as a accountant for 2 years in Koothupattarai. N.Muthuswamy is the founder of Koothu-P-Pattarai and his speech inspired Vijay Sethupathi. So he gained confident that everyone can act in movie.
He first appeared in Tsunami awareness play and done many plays conducted by Koothupattarai. It took 5 years for him to act in the first play. During this period his friends asked Vijay Sethupathi to return back to Dubai. But he has confident that he can act in a movie.

In 2006- He slowly got a chance in Kollywood movie Pudhupettai. This is his first movie and played friend role in this movie. Then he searched for chances for the whole year but failed.
In 2007- This year he approached director Balu Mahendran. His eyes attracted the director and gave some positive response. Director took some photos of Vijay Sethupathi and said "I will call you if any character in my script suites you". This words gave him energy and he gained more confidence. This year he done a friend role in movie Lee.
In 2009 to 2010- This period is the turning point for this actor. He done a many short film and one of his film named "Wind" got cirtical reception. This was directed by his friend Manikandan. During this period he got many chances to act as a friend. He got chances in movies like Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu and Naan Mahaan Alla.
Thenmerku Paruvakaatru is the first movie to play lead role. This movie was nominated for national award and received many awards too.
In 2012- This is a successful year for this actor. He acted in the movie Varnam but not so popular but many impressed by his acting. He was recommended to act in Sundarapandian for friend role as his face looks exactly like a Tamil man.
