Sabarimalai Ayyappa devotees visiting Vellimalai for Madala Poojai have increased. Due to this Kerala state government has taken action to increase the bus from important railway junction in Kerala to Pampai. Train services to Pampai has also increased due to many people prefer this.
So this time bus service will be good than previous year. Make sure that you reach main city of Kerala. As there are many bus available, I am not able to give you the schedule. I got special train schedules to Sabarimalai which are as below. Special trains from Chennai to Kollam
Chennai Central – Kollam
Train number 06001 - It is weekly super-fast express. Service will be available for every Monday from November 19 until January 21. This train departures at 3.15 in the afternoon from Chennai Central on Mondays and arrive Kollam at 5.30 the next morning.
Train No. 06005: From January 18 until November 23. Service will be available on Fridays only. Departures from Chennai Central at 3.15 PM in the afternoon and arrive Kollam on next day at 5.30 AM.
Train No. 06007: From January 20 until November 25 only on Sundays, departs from Chennai Central at 11:30 AM, and arrive Kollam at 3.30 in the afternoon the next day.
Train No. 06009: From January 15 until November 27 on Tuesdays, departure at 5.35 in the morning from Central, and arrive Kollam at 9.10 the next morning.
Train No. 06003: From January 17 until November 22 on Thursdays, departures at 5.40 pm from Chennai Central and arrive Kollam at 9.10 the next morning.
Kollam to Chennai
Train No. 06002: From November 20 until January 22 on Tuesdays. Departures at 11.15 in the morning from Kollam, arrives Chennai Central at 3:30 the next morning.
Train No. 06006: From November 24 until January 19. This train will run only on saturdays. Departure at 11.15 AM from Kollam, arrive at Chennai Central at 3.30 in the afternoon the next day.
Train No. 06008: From January 21 until November 26 on Mondays, departure at 9.15 in the night from Kollam, arrive at Chennai Central at 12.50 pm the next day.
Train No. 06010: From November 28 until January 16 on Wednesdays, departure at 11.15 in the morning from Kollam, arrive at Chennai Central at 3.30 am the next day.
Train No. 06004: From January 18 until November 23 on Fridays, departures at 11.15 in the morning from Kollam, arrive at Central at 3.30 am the next day.
Ernakulam Junction - Chennai Central
Train number 06011: From November 22 until 17th of January on Thursdays. Departure from Ernakulam Junction 5 o'clock in the evening, Arrives Chennai the next morning at 5.15.
Train No. 06012: From November 23 until 18 January, departures at 9 PM from Chennai Central on Fridays and arrives at 8.15 the next morning to Ernakulam Junction.
