Sorga Vasal story
Vaikunta means the place were Lord Permal (Vishnu) lives. It was considered as the heaven or sorga logam in Hindu religion. During Vaikunta Ekadasi whoever dies naturally will reach heaven even if that human does a sin. In other days sins and good deeds done by a human is calculated by Lord Yama (god of death). This lord act as judge and he sends either to hell or heaven depending upon the human sins and good deeds.
I don't know the actual story of this Vaikunta Ekadesi. I retrieved some information about "Ekadesi" from my grandmother. The story moves like this. Ekadesi is the name of the girl who is blessed by Lord Permal. One day a demon named Muran attacked Saints. Ekadesi saved the saints by slashing Muran. This day was considered as Vaikunta Ekadasi.
All Vainavam (Perumal) temples that we see visit today have a door which will be opened only on Vaikunta Ekadesi. On other days the door will be kept closed.Vaikunta Ekadasi live
