  • Marine Engineering- 04 (SC-01)[professors], 06 (SC-01) (ST-01) [associate professor], 10 (OBC-02, SC-02, ST-1) [Assistant professors]
  • Nautical Science- 04 (ST-01)[professors], 06 (SC-01)[associate professor], 10 (OBC-02, SC-02, ST-1, PWD-01) [Assistant professors]

Scale of Pay- Rs.15600 – 39100 with AGP:Rs.6000/- for Assistant professor.
Rs.37400 – 67000 with AGP : Rs.9,000/- for associate professor
Rs.37400 – 67000 with AGP : Rs.10,000/- for professor
Age Limit- Age should be be above 45-years

Eligibility criteria of IMU professor jobs 2013


  • Candidates should have atleast Ph.D. Degree with First Class at Bachelor's or with 55% marks at master's degree in the related subjects for all posts.
  • In Master`s degree candidate should have at least 55% marks and relevant experience.
  • Candidates age should be not be above 45 years for Asst Professor Post, not above 50 years for Associate professor and not above 55 years for Porfessor posts.
  • For professor post in nautical science, candidate should have atleast 10 years experience in teaching /Industry/ship board in marine related fields.
  • A relaxation of 5% in marks at the Master's level for the SC/ST candidates.
