The Indian Maritime University (IMU) has announced latest diploma admission notification to all disciplines of maritime sector in all six established campuses Chennai, Cochin, Kandla Port, Kolkata, Mumbai, Vizag. IMU currently offers various programmes under the following Schools:

School of Nautical Studies
School of Marine Engineering
School of Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering
School of Maritime Management
School of Maritime Law

Diploma in Nautical Science
Eligibility-

Candidates should have done their basic study in 10+2/equivalent (PCM 60% and English 50%).
They should have done their B.Sc in either Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry or Electronics (with Physics as individual subject in one of the years) with 55% aggregate.
If not they should have completed their B.E./B.Tech degree with 50% in English

B.Sc Nautical Science (3 years)
Eligibility: Candidates should have done their basic study in 10+2/equivalent (PCM 60% and English 50%)

B.Sc Maritime Science (3 years)
Eligibility: They should have cleared 10+2/equivalent (PCM 60% and English 50%)

B.Tech (Marine Engineering) (4 years)
Eligibility:10+2/equivalent (PCM 60% and English 50%)

PG Diploma in Marine Engineering (1 year)
Eligibility: Candidate should have done his graduate engineering in Mechanical Engineering or in Marine Engineering

B.Sc Ship Building and Repair (3 years)
Eligibility: Candidate should have done 10+2/equivalent (PCM 50% and English 50%)

M.Tech Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering (2 years)
Eligibility: Candidate should have done done their graduate engineering in mechanical or Civil or Aeronautical or Marine or Naval Architecture or equivalent with 60% aggregate

M.Tech Dredging and Harbour Engineering (2 years)
Eligibility: G Candidate should have done graduate engineering in Mechanical/Civil/Aeronautical/Marine/Naval Architecture or equivalent 60% aggregate
