Paper - I : 22.09.2013 - 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.
Paper - II: 22.09.2013 - 2:30 P.M. to 4:30 P.M.
Age limit as on 1.07.2013 (completed)
(i)Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Caste (Arunthathiyars), Scheduled Tribes
and Destitute Widows of all castes : 18 years to no maximum age limit.
(iii) "Others" [ i.e Candidates not belonging to SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, and BCs ] : 18 years to below 30 years.
Educational qualification
(i) Candidates should possess the following or its equivalent qualification on the date of this notification, viz. 19.07.2013.
(a) A Degree of Bachelor of Library Science of any University or institution recognized by the UGC for the purpose of its grantsGeneral information for applying the post of Librarian, Grade-I
(i) The selection of the candidates will be based on (i) the performance of the candidate in written examination (ii) Oral test or interview.
(ii) Candidates should apply only through online in the Commission's Website www.tnpsc.gov.in or in www.tnpscexams.net and the candidates should have scanned image of their photograph and signature in CD/DVD/Pen drive as per their convenience.
(iii) The candidate can par the fee either in Online payment (Net Banking, Credit card/Debit card) or in Offline Payment (Post Office or Indian Bank.
(iv) The Candidates are not allowed to bring Pager, Cellular Phone, Calculator, Memory Notes and books etc. or any other Electronic device or Recording Device into the examination hall.
(v) The Online Application can be filled up to 16.08.2013 till 11.59 p.m., after which the link will be disabled.
(vi) Examination will be held at CHENNAI Centre (Code No. 001) only.
