University of Madras, Department of Indian Music is inviting applications from eligible candidates for admission to MA degree course in Bharathanatyam (2 years) and Rhythmology (2 years) for the academic year 2013-2014 under private study (CBCS pattern).

Eligibility criteria for admission into MA in Bharathanatyam

Candidate at least should have a degree in BA or BSc or BCom or any other degree recognized by India
as equivalent thereto by the Syndicate of the university of Madras.

Apart from this, they should have 5 years of performance (or) 5 years of teaching (or) diploma in dance of madras university (or) any other Diploma accepted as equivalent thereto by the syndicate.

Age limit: Minimum 21 years of age as on 1st July.
Fee structure: Rs.25000/-for 2 years

Eligibility criteria for admission into MA in Rhythmology

Candidate should have any degree from university of Madras or any degree recognized.

They should have minimum 5 years of performance (or) 5 years of teaching (or) any degree recognized as equivalent thereto.

Age limit: Minimum 21 years of age as on 1st July.
Fee structure: Same as regular courses offered by Department of Indian Music.

University of Madras Bharathanatyam and Rhythmology application form 2013

Candidates can get University of Madras application form in person at the university information center on payment of Rs.200/- (Rs.100/- for SC/ST candidates)by cash.

If you want application by post, write a letter with a DD for a sum of Rs.250/- which should be drawn in favour of “The Registrar, University of Madras, Chennai-5" and send it to the address mentioned below.
