Biman Bose is one of the most dedicated communist leader of India. His lifestyle, activities every thing is of a true communist. His sense of humor, cool temperament is a matter to be followed by other leaders. His relationship with his party men and media reporters is known to all. It is heard that some times he even cooks special items for them. Every information of every corner of West Bengal is in his finger tips. During the present crisis situation of Left Front before Bidhan Sabha Election 2011, he is the only State leader leading the party from the front without buckling.

Political career of Biman Bose



Biman Bose joined political and social activities while he was still in school and got party membership on 1958 when he was just 18 years old.
He was Secretary of Bengal Provincial Students' Federation, Kolkata and Vice-President of BPSF in 1964.

Worked as Asst. Secretary, Indo-Vietnam Solidarity Committee in mid-sixties.

1st All India Secretary of Students' Federation of India in 1970.

He becomes Permanent invitee to the Central Committee, CPI (M) in 1983.

He is Member of Central Committee since 1985.

He is Member of Polit Bureau CPI (M) since 1998.
