Mahua Roychoudhury was from a lower – middle class family of DumDum. From her childhood she loved dancing. Education was not in her priority. Her actual name was Shipra. The name Mahua was given by Director Tarun majumdar. Tarun Majumdar discovered her and Sandhya Roy groomed her.
Normally Bengali heroines lacks the dancing ability. Mahua had all the qualities. She had a beautiful face, good acting and dancing ability. In a very short time she got fame, money everything. Many says that Mahua came from a lower-middle class family, the taste of fame, money were unexpected for her. she lost the balance in this cruel world.
