Story of Patiala House



This film is based on story of a joint family settled in Southall, London. Gurkreeat Singh Kalon, played by Rishi Kapoor is the head of the family who is very much strict in nature. His ideology is to keep the family under one roof and follow the life style of forefathers. Guttu, acted by Akshay Kumar, his siblings and the whole family can not enjoy London life as the head of the family is very conservative. Simran came in the life of Guttu. Anushka Sharma acted as Simran in this film. Simran helped Guttu to fulfill his dream of becoming a cricketer.

Supporting cast of this film is very strong. After a long gap, Rishi Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia are together in a film. In the past, Rishi-Dimple magic always clicked. Prem Chopra and Tinu Anand both are senior actors in Hindi film industry.

Music of this film is good. Already the songs- 'Rola Pe gaya' and 'Laugda Lashkara' are hits.
