Satarup Ghosh Biography, Profile and Career

Satarup Ghosh is fairly well known in political circles in West Bengal. He was the unit secretary of the Students Federation of India (SFI) of Asutosh College, where he spent his college years. It was from this college that Ghosh graduated in Economics in 2009 after having completed his schooling at South Point High School. When not busy with party work, Satarup Ghosh is immersed in his post graduate studies. He is pursuing a Masters degree from the prestigious Rabindra Bharati University.

As for his political leanings, Satarup Ghosh has his own mind. It is not as though he followed in the footsteps of a family member, as is often the case in the Indian political scenario. Both his parents did support the Left Front party, but as such were not directly involved with the party's official work. Ghosh was keen on entering the political minefield and, with this goal in mind, had joined the SFI when in college. As he said in an interview, "I have my own principles and views."

Satarup presently lives in Kolkata, extremely busy with political work. In getting selected to represent the Left Front from Kasba, it has been a truly happy birthday month for Satarup. Will the happiness double when the 2011 West Bengal Assembly Elections Results are declared? Will the young lad win his first ever elections on the State level?

Will the Left Front win the election?
