Swami Vivekananda was born on 12th January 1863.
Birth Place of Swami Vivekanada is Kolkata.
Mother's name of Swami Vivekananda is Bhuvaneshwari Dutta.
Father's name of Swami Vivekananda is Vishwanath Datta.
Swami Vivekananda's parents worshiped a lot for a male child to Lord Shiva and after many prayers Vivekananda took birth. Swami Vivekananda's mother believed that Swamiji was gifted to her from the God Vireshwar Shiva and so Swamiji was named as Bireshwar. Vivekananda during his childhood days was strong-willed but restless.
Swamiji during his childhood days was always encouraged by the sanyasis (monks) in their saffron dresses. Vivekananda played many games with his childhood friends, he liked to play the game of "King and Court" in which he always became the king. Swamiji also played the game of meditation sometimes but while it was a game for the others Swamiji forgetting everything started meditation and thought of God which gave a real power and encouragement as well as peace of mind to him.

Vivekanda's memory was very sharp and at the age of six only he had learned the stories like Ramayana and Mahabharata by heart. Once if he hears anything he remembered that through out the life and once he reads something or a book he can retain word by word of that book any time and any place. This was because whatever he did he paid his full attention and complete concentration to it. Vivekananda was a follower of truth and always told and supported the truth. During any danger he just did his duty and kept his mind cool.

However, swamiji leaved a life for only thirty nine years but still he devoted his whole life for the social activities, and helping others.
He was a man who used his brain and today people remember him due to his great power and deeds. Swamiji is immortal in our hearts and will never die for us. His teachings, actions and deeds as well as his life history is a great lesson for us from which we can learn something and can bring our life to a exact way.

If we follow his principles we will never be misguided in our life and always leave a happy and peaceful life. Swami Vivekananda died in the yaer 1902, but still he is there in our hearts.
