WBUT even semester examination 2011 postponed and rescheduled

The West Bengal university of Technology had announced the probable dates for the WBUT even semester examination 2011 earlier this year and it was scheduled to start on 19th April as announced by WBUT itself. The exam was to be conducted earlier this year in anticipation of the coming assembly elections might hamper the regular routine. WBUT even sem routine was also announced by the officials and colleges and students were preparing for the early exams as suddenly all the planning got messed up by the announcement of the election dates. The assembly election has been announced to start on 18th April and continue till the results are out on 13th May. In light of the current events the announced dates by WBUT can no longer be followed and hence steps are needed to be taken. As the exams were already early to be conducted in April hence further advancement of the dates seems impractical. Hence the only logical choice left for WBUT is to postpone the exams to a date after the elections are over and the unrest settles. This leads to the conclusion that WBUT even sem exam must be postponed probably to late May or early June as it has happened in the previous years.
