Gyan Singh Sohan Pal, a bachelor politician West Bengal assembly election 2011.

In Kharagpur, affectionately called 'Chacha ji' by his constituency voters. Congress MLA Gyan Singh Sohan Pal, age 87, is the oldest candidate from West Bengal for this year's Assembly elections. He is elected for nine times and an ex-minister at the time of Congress Government in West Bengal. He is really a lovable bachelor in Kharagpur.

As per him people love him spontaneously, which is the reason for his continuous victory. He feels age cannot be the barrier for this job. Till date he is in constant touch with people.
It was a common picture that he was riding on a Moped and traveling to visit many places in his constituency.
