Tajpur Sea shore located at East Midnapur near to Kolkata but far from the madding crowds of the city.
The sea shore looks like red canvas. Groups of red crabs are returning home just before the sunset. The shore looks reddish. The sky above is turning orange-red from blue. Its time for the boats to return back from the sea.
No, here one can't buy chops, tea etc or various items from the seashore stalls. After sunset the shore becomes almost empty, no lights are there.

Mandarmoni is very near to Tajpur. You can go there by walking along the shore. This area is busy compared to Tajpur. Many shops are there along the sea shore. You can have breakfast at Mandarmoni seashore. While returning you can buy seafish and crabs from that village to your hotel. The staffs there do not mind in cooking them if there is not much crowd.
Tajpur beach is famous in one way. A resort here has recently introduced various types of adventure sports. Any time you can see different colours of parachutes flying. Sea Rafting, Coastal Biking, Artificial Rock Climbing etc can be enjoyed here. Along with that arrangements are there for beach volleyball and beach football. Apart from this, bus services are there from kolkata to Digha. If you travel by bus then you have to get down at Balisai stoppage. From there you can reach Tajpur by bus or van.
