Money makes a category of rich and poor
Though all human beings have the common features such as blood, bones, organs, muscles etc. their life style is never the same. This is due to money that separates all the children of God into the rich and the poor. While the rich flourish in their fortunes, the poor suffer in their starvation.
Every sunrise is a new day for the rich which brings a new way of making money. On the other hand, for our poor brethren every new day is looked upon for some ray of hope. The poor live in a microcosm of their own which is looked at by some rich rascals with ridicule and repulsiveness.
Between the rich and the poor lies the middle class. This class of people is called the middle class as they are in the middle with the rich on one side and the poor on the other side. These people are like the fulcrum which balances a sew saw and are by and large envied by the poor and looked down upon by the rich. The thorns in their lives outnumber the roses.
For such people meeting their ends is a Herculean task. Sacrificing one luxury or even a necessity for another is an integral part and parcel of their lives. These people crave to become rich and sometimes do make it. While the poor hunt for food in the litter bins, the rich choose which cuisine to have. While the rich count their currency notes, the ribs of the poor unfed people can be counted. While the rich keep dogs as pets feeding them well, the poor helplessly live on the roads with the dogs. While in their distress the poor have forgotten their birthday, the rich celebrate the birthday of their pets.
While the poor have pains in their belly, the rich enjoy watching belly dances. It is really so surprising that a poor man's monthly earning is less than the money spent by a rich man on a single meal. The rich and the poor live in the same world but ironically money makes their respective world divergent and different.Pleasure of being rich
Children attending school are asked to wear the same uniform. The uniform is aimed at not discriminating the rich students from the poor ones. Children are a form of God. Unlike we grown ups, the disparity in riches is largely unknown to them and is not reflected in their behavior.
Of course poor children who work for a livelihood are aware of the pains of being poor and the pleasures of being rich. More often than not, such children are overworked and underpaid. The other children are usually unaware of such realities. Of course as they start growing up they start becoming aware of the tragedies out poured by poverty and realize the pleasures of being rich. This is a way of the world which no matter hard, we cannot eradicate.
