Eminent Bengal footballer M. A. Sattar died in Kolkata
Eminent Bengal football player Mohammad Sattar died in 24th april 2011 at night in a private nursing home at E.M.bypass, Kolkata. Not only he played great football in Bengal clubs but also he played in Olympic tournament for India.
At the time of his dead no body was there. It is shame to say that no body of IFA knows the dead news on that day.
Eminent Bengal football player Mohammad Sattar died in 24th april 2011 at 10 'O clock night in a private nursing home at E.M.bypass, Kolkata. Not only he played great football in Bengal clubs but also he played in Olympic tournament for India.
In his football life he played long time in Mohonbagan club and few times if Mohamaddan sporting club. But it is sorry to say that neither Mohonbagan club nor Mohamaddan sporting club take any steps to bring dead body to their own play ground. For Mohonbagan club Atin Sen and for Mohamaddan sporting club Kamaruddin finish their duty to give flowers on his dead body. Indian football association (IFA) does not send a single flower for his dead body in his home. Not only that IFA does not know the news of his dead on 24th April night. Later through person they know the news and send flower to Sattar in the burial ground. But no chairperson present there for condolence.
Today means 25th April 2011 morning ex-football player Badru Banerjee, Sabbir Ali, Nasir Ahamed reach to the nurshing home and show him. Besides this ex-M.P. Mophammad Salim also came. Sailen Manna, P.K. Banerjee do not go there for their illness but they send their condolence to his son over telephone.
Before Mohanbagan and ONGC match footballers keep one minute silence in respect of Sattar. Later in afternoon Sattar's body buried in Gobra's number one burial ground.
