Is Teresa a "Saint"?
Should not be. She spoke of liberalism which is of course good but deplored by Catholicism, and this must disable for the title of a Saint. Missionaries of "Charity"?
The difference of perspectives between the Orient and the Occident. We say Daridra Naaraayana. We worship the destitute, placing them on a high pedestal. They give alms, placing them below their feet. Refer to Osho -
"She has been serving the poor, but the poor have been served for centuries and poverty has not disappeared from the world. Poverty is not going to disappear from the world by serving the poor; in fact, this whole society exists through serving the poor. The poor have to be served in some way so that they don't feel absolutely rejected, otherwise they will take great revenge, they will go wild, they will become murderous. It is good to keep them consoled that this society is doing so much' for them, for their children for their old people, for their widows -- this is a 'good' society.
Hence the same people who exploit the poor donate to these missions. Mother Teresa's mission is called Missionaries of Charity...Their purpose is to function in this society like a lubricant so that the wheels of the society, the wheels of exploitation, oppression can go on moving smoothly. These people are lubricants! They are deceiving others and they are deceiving themselves." [From Osho's "Zen: Zest, Zip, Zap and Zing"]
Above all, most of the missionaries, at all points of the Indian history, have forcefully converted others, and are still doing so. On 25th June 2006, the police detained four nuns of the Missionaries of Charity for attempted conversion when they visited a Government hospital in Andhra Pradesh. And when the local people protested this, they were tagged by another local nun Sister Maria as "Hindu activists"! Thanks to the Archbishop Joji, the head of the local Catholic Church, for understanding and stating that this is a clear violation of human rights and an infringement of the right to religion by the Missionaries of Charity. A true Christian, he should be paid homage by people of all religions for his proper humanitarian and socio-religious attitude.
Oh how much the present nuns of the Missionaries of Charity differ from the word of Teresa! Look at the tribal orphans at any mission, you will find them with Christian names. What the hell is this? Let them grow up, and then let them choose their way to salvation. They should have the constitutional rights to choose their own religion. You cannot convert a child simply because you are feeding him / her!
These people are never good Christians. "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing!"
