Ticket Price slashed at Eden Gardens for IPL 4 matches
Kolkata Knight Rider (KKR) management decided to reduce the ticket price from the next match at Eden Gardens. This announcement comes mainly for the low capacity crowd in the last match. List of new ticket price slab with previous price at Eden Gardens for IPL 4 matches
Ticket price changed
*Gallery tickets will be priced at Rs 400 (all upper tiers), from the earlier price Rs 500
*Gallery tickets will be priced at Rs 500 (all lower tiers except B, C, K and L blocks) from the earlier price Rs900
*Gallery tickets will be priced at Rs 900 (K and L lower tiers) from the earlier price Rs 1200
*The upper tier seats of B C Roy Club House has been slashed to Rs2400 from the earlier Rs3600, Ticket price unchanged
Ticket price at lower tiers of B and C block remained unchanged at Rs1800
Ticket price at premium lower tier seats remained unchanged at Rs9000
As per the KKR management those who bought ticket in advance through online will get their refund. Why the ticket price change is needed?
The cause behind the price change is mainly for the below capacity crowd for the first match at Eden Gardens. KKR did not include city's famous Sourav Ganguly (Dada) in the team this year. This may affect the crowd at Eden.
Although there is a revenue loss for Knight Riders, the management is desperate to bring capacity crowd inside the stadium.
