Mirik is a beautiful city of West Bengal. It is located at Darjeeling of 49km and Siliguri of 52km. Mirik is fast developing into a major tourist destination. Situated at an altitude of 1767 m above sea level, Mirik has some wonderful attraction to visit. This place is also a favored base for starting a trek tour into Himalayas. There is a temple dedicated to Singha Devi at a place called Debi Sthan. The town of Mirik was promoted as a tourist destination only during the 70s.
