The most eminent, glamorous, gorgeous and stunning Tollywood Actress- Debasree Roy- not only excels in the Tollywood Industry but also in the State Politics. At this present year of 2011, Debasree continues to be the Trinamul Congress MLA from Raidighi. Apart from all these, this beautiful lady is also a great social-worker. Debasree runs an NGO, which is known as the Debasree Roy Foundation, which works for the birds and the animals.
In September-2010, some residents of the Arifbari in Barasat sent an SOS to Debasree to "rescue" the six poor dogs, which were said to be in distress- in the house of their master Rajnarayan Sharma - as the neighbors alleged that the dogs were being maltreated there. On September 22, 2010- Debasree lodged a complaint with Barasat police station. Then along with her brother Mrigen and the five cops, Debasree landed at Sharma's home to "rescue" the six miserly dogs. The Roy's, then, took them to their Tollygunge shelter.
Rajnarayan Sharma filed a petition against Debasree to get back the dogs in his custody and told the Barasat magistrate's court that Debasree's organization was not empowered to carry out such activities as it required a magistrate's permission to take away the creatures which could not express themselves. The Barasat chief judicial magistrate, following the Sharma's petition, directed Debasree on April 19, 2011 to restore back the dogs to their owner by May 6, 2011.
Both Debasree and her brother Mrigen prompted Sharma to move the court again by not carrying out the judicial order. Unfortunately, the Barasat magistrate's court- on May 6, 2011- directed the cops for the execution of the arrest warrant and to file a compliance report by June 6, 2011. Such a judicial action instigated Debasree to move the High Court on Wednesday- May 18, 2011- to seek a stay order on the arrest warrant issued against both her and her brother. Fortunately, the High Court on Thursday- May 19, 2011- stayed the arrest warrant. Justice Kalidas Mukherjee of the High Court ruled that the arrest warrant would not be executed till further orders are issued from the High Court. The matter would be investigated in detail after the High Court re-opens after the summer vacation in the first week of June.
Let us hope for the best so that the social-worker and animal-lover Actress Debasree Roy, a politician at the same time, might be able to bring freedom to those six miserly dogs which were in permanent distress out of their sufferance from maltreatment by their own master. From this we get to know that apart from being leading a luxurious and leisure life, the Actress even struggles for these inexpressible animals. This proves her enormous passion for the animals.
Out of divine love- we know- both Romeo and Juliet sacrificed each other's life; the omnipotent Jesus Christ sacrificed His life to redeem Mankind; Subhash Chandra Bose and other great freedom fighters sacrificed their lives for their own country; many sacrificed their life to protect the Mother Nature; and now, in the 21st century, we came across a great personality- Debasree Roy, who even at the risk of losing her status and respect, fights for the justice of those poor dogs. Bengal is really proud of such a female personality.
