Sananda TIllotama is the most prestigious beauty pageant held in Eastern India. This year,2011,the pageant enters its 15th year. Originally meant to be concentrated on only Kolkata,auditions are now also held at Siliguri,Durgapur,Jamshedpur,Guwahati and Bhubaneswar apart from Kolkata. Registrations are done on the official website and also at various places all over the cities. Also magazines published by the ABP Pvt. Ltd. have forms which can be filled and sent via post.

About Sananda Tillotama

Dabur Gulabari Sananda Tillotama is the most prestigious beauty pageant held in the Eastern India. The pageant is the brainchild of the editors and other creative members of Sananda,born in 1986,is a leading Bengali magazine which is widely circulated all over West Bengal and the adjoining States.

This year with the pageant enters its 15th year. The beauty aims at 'Searching For The Beauty Within'. The pageant celebrated the quintessence of beaiuty and gives the contestants a platform to express wit,poise,beauty and discover their inner self. The pageant boasts of a lineage that has names such as Bipasha Basu, Koena Mitra, Celina Jaitley, Reshmi Ghosh to name a few. Closer to home Arpita Pal, Dipannita Patra, Pamela Bhutoria have made their mark. Dimpy Ganguly, who shot to fame on a reality television show and Ushoshie Sengupta winner of the I Am She contest (she will now represent India in the international Miss Universe pageant) have also been winners at the 2007 and 2008 chapters of Dabur Gulabari Sananda Tilottama.

Sananda Tillotama 2011 beauty contest

Time and again Sananda Tillotama as a brand,has reinvented itself and every year we get to see the pageant in a new avatar. The year 2011 is no different. The pageant this year kickstarted at Kolkata and then moved on to the other cities namely Siliguri,Bhubaneswar,Durgapur,Jamshedpur and Guwahati. The shortlisted contestants will face a preliminary round to be held at Kolkata and Guwahati where they will strive to secure a place as one of the top ten finalists of Sananda TIllotama 2011
The finalists will attend a month-long grooming session spearheaded by supermodel and choreographerNayanika Chatterjee and other experts of the fashion and television industry. The grooming session will encompass everything from hair and beauty regime to catwalk, skin, diction, etiquette and much more similar sessions.

The grand finale is to be held at ITC Sonar Bangla,Kolkata and will be judged by some eminent personalites of various spheres of life. Here the winners of the previously held subcontests will be awarded. The sub-categories include Dabur Gulabari Miss Beautiful Skin, Dabur Gulabari Miss Beautiful Smile, Dabur Gulabari Miss Congeniality, Fem Miss Photogenic, Fem Miss Beautiful Legs, Dabur Vatika Miss Beautiful Hair, Women's Horlicks Miss Fit and Active, VLCC Miss Confident, VLCC Miss Perfect 11, Seagram's Blenders Pride Magical Nights Contest, Apollo Miss Good health, Tanishq Miss Bedazzled, Simaaya Fashion Diva, Himalaya Miss Beautiful Eyes and Metro Shoes Miss Personality , Miss Talented and Swimwear Round among a host of others.
The curtain is drawn with the the winner of last year crowning Miss.Sananda Tillotama 2011 and also the first runner-up and the second runner-up.

Prizes and Awards

This year Eastern India's most prestigious beauty pageant is giving away a host of prizes to its finalists. The winner of Dabur Gulabari Sananda Tilottama 2011 will get a chance to have her portfolio taken by an ace national photographer. She will also get the opportunity to walk the ramp for a fashion designer. That's not all television partner ETV Bangla will give one of the 10 finalists a fantastic platform by giving them the chance to act in one of the serials on ETV. There's still more, the winner, first runner up, second runner up and the rest of the seven finalists will get cash prizes for participating in Sananda Tilottama 2011.

Rules, Regulations and eligibility criteria for participating in Sananda Tillotama 2011

- Unmarried Indian women, between 18-25 years only can participate.

- ABP Pvt.Ltd will not make any arrangements for the participants' enrollment in the contest.

- Any employee or anyone related to any employee of ABP Pvt.Ltd will not be allowed to participate.

- If entry form is not sent with two photographs it will be disqualified.

- ABP Pvt.Ltd is not responsible for any postal delays.

- The decision of the jury is final and any discussions and debates regarding the same will not be entertained.

- During the contest all participants must abide by the contest rules.

- All participants will be under the contract of ABP Pvt.Ltd from the date of commencement of the contest up till one year.

- The conditions of the contract will be drawn by ABP Pvt.Ltd.
