Gaur is located at about 12 km south of Malda, towards right on the Indo-Bangladesh border. The gigantic remnants of 14th and 15th century Bengal, are the Bara Sona Mosque, Dakhil Darwajah (built in 1425), Qadam Rasul Mosque, Lattan Mosque and the ruins of the extensive fortification. The most interesting thing are the colourful enamelled tiles on the Gomti Gate and Firoz Minar, which can be easily seen by tourists.
Pandua is situated at about 18 km north of Malda. Adina Mosque is one of the most famous places for the tourist which is located at 2 km towards north of the village Pandua. Sikander Shah established it in 1369 and the mosque represents the achievement of Muslim rulers. Tourist can also able to see the Eklakhi mausoleum (founded at a princely cost of one lakh rupees) and several smaller mosques here.
