The temperature in the city is not in the favour but it does not matter at all. Kolkata is decorated with lights to welcome the New Year 2012. Different clubs and restaurants are ready to welcome the New Year 2012. Here is given the short list of what special arrangements are done in famous Kolkata clubs.
Sonu Kakkar will be at CC&FC, Sanober Kabir at RCGC, Karma will be at The Saturday Club, DJ Austin and Shiva will make the party hoppers to swing at The Tollygunge Club, Blue Mist at DI, Shruti Pathak will be at Space Circle and veteran pop singer Sharon Prabhakar will be at Bengal Club.

Traffic restrictions in Kolkata on the occasion of 31st Nite



Like every year, many restrictions will be implemented in busy roads in Kolkata today. Cars will have to enter The Park Street area from the Apeejay House gate from 5.00 pm onwards. Exception is there, the east-bound traffic from the Jawharlal Nehru Road will be allowed on Park Street. Restrictions of traffic will be at Russell Street, Free School Street, Middleton Street and Royd Street. There will be no parking facily for today only on Russell Street, Middleton Row, Free School Street, Wood Street, Rafi Ahmed Kidwai Road and Little Russell Street.

Arrangement of Police in Kolkata on the occasion of 31st Nite



Around 8,000 cops will be on the roads in Kolkata to keep the law and order situation perfect. Plainclothes police will be at crowded areas in Kolkata tonight. City hotels and restaurants are informed to increase their security personnel including women guard to tackle any unwanted situation on 31st Nite. People of Kolkata can use the helpline 2214-3230 in case of any disturbances.
