Public Service Commission West Bengal (PSCWB) has invited applications from suitable candidates against the vacant posts of Physiotherapist and Social Worker Grade III.
Details of the Vacancies- posts, number of vacancies, qualification and pay
Name of the Vacant Posts: Physiotherapist Grade III
Number of vacant posts: 20
3 posts reserved for SC candidates, 1 post each reserved for OBC (A category) and OBC (B category). Remaining 15 posts are for general candidates.
Pay scale for Physiotherapist Grade III: Selected candidates will be under the pay scale of Rs.7100-37600 with Grade Pay of Rs.3600 under pay band 3.
Educational qualification required for Physiotherapist Grade III posts:
Candidates must have passed higher secondary examination from West Bengal board with science background. Two years diploma in Physiotherapy approved by the West Bengal Government is also required. A degree in physiotherapy approved by the West Bengal Government will be an added advantage.
Name of the vacant posts: Social Worker Grade III
Number of the Vacant posts: 11
5 posts reserved for SC candidates, 1 post for ST, 2 posts each reserved for OBC (A category) and OBC (B category) and 1 post is for persons with disability-low vision or blindness.
Pay scale for Social Worker Grade III: Same as Physiotherapist Grade III.
Educational qualification required for Social Worker Grade III posts:
Arts or Science graduate or diploma in social welfare and health education from government recognized institute is a must. Degree holders in social welfare and health education can also apply.
Age limit for candidates: For both the posts, maximum age limit is 37 years as on the January 1 2012.How to apply:

Application fee must enclose Indian Postal Order worth Rs.160 along with their application endorsed and crossed to the Secretary, Public Service Commission, West Bengal and payable at GPO, Kolkata. The other way to submit application fee can be done through challan from the Government Treasury in the West Bengal or the RBI, Kolkata under the head '0051-00-105-State PSC Examination fees-001-Examination fees-16 other fees'.
