Gadiara is the point of convergence of Hooghly and Rupnarayan rivers. A litle away Damodar river from Gorchumuk has met Hooghly river. Water all around refreshes ones mind very quickly. Pollution-free clear wind is blowing everywhere.
Early in the morning you can start for Mornington Fort. This Fort is also known as Clive's Fort. You will enjoy seeing the Fort. From the Fort if you wish you can visit Light House. Light House situated on the banks of the river is nearabout 200 years old. East India Company has built this Light House in order to guide the routes of ships in the river. If you climb upstairs of the Light House you will be able to view a very pleasant scenery. One can visit Mayachar on the banks of Rupnarayan by boat. You could also enjoy a boat ride if you like on the regular ferry services to Geonkhali in Midnapur or Nurpur in 24 parganas. The ride takes approximately 20 minues to either location. Geonkhali is very beautiful. From Geonkhali it takes 20 minutes to reach Murshidabad Rajbari. That place is also very beautiful.

How to go :
From Kolkata one has to get down at Bagnan Station. From there Gadiara can be reached by bus. From Kolkata direct bus services are there for Bagnan.
