How to apply for school teachers mutual transfer under WBSSC?


  • A school teacher wanting mutual transfer must apply with paying proper fees. The WBSSC school teachers mutual transfer application fees is Rs. 1000/- which is to be paid by a demand draft drawn in favour of the West Bengal Central School Service Commission.

  • The candidate must produce a no objection declaration from the school from which the transfer is being sought. The letter must carry the signatures with seal of the Head Master / Head Mistress / Teacher-in-Charge as well as the Secretary of the Managing Committee / Administrator of the School's Governing Body.

  • The managing committee of the school will receive the Part I of the form duly filled in from the applying teacher and in the next immediate meeting, fill in the Part II to place it before the Hearing Committee through the Central Commission. The mutual transfer for school teachers is subject to the consideration of the Central Commission which may or may not recommend for mutual transfer of two applying teachers (see the WBSSC mutual transfer rules) within three months from the reception of the application for the mutual transfer from both the incumbents.

  • The school teachers' mutual transfer application form duly submitted for both the incumbents will be scrutinised by the Hearing Committee, which will call for the concerned applicants along with the Head Masters / Head Mistresses / Teachers-in-charge of the concerned schools, the respective District Inspectors of Schools (Secondary Education) or other authorized personnel to be present at the event of hearing.

  • If the WBSSC school teachers mutual transfer application is accepted, the incumbents and other concerned persons will be intimated about the recommendation. The Central Commission will also make clear which of the two candidates applying for SSC mutual transfer will be released first.

  • The first released candidate will have to join in the replacement post within 3 working days from the date of the release.

  • Upon the joining of the first release teacher, his or her counterpart will be duly released by the secretary of the school committee and will join in the vacant place of the released incumbent teacher in the other school, within 3 working days.

  • These 3 days for both teachers will be considered joining leave in the service registers, which will not exceed 3 days for a maximum. The candidates can claim the salary for the joining leave from the Head Master / Head Mistress / Teacher in Charge after joining in the changed school. No TA (travel allowance) or other benefits shall be entertained.
