Government jobs no longer fixed in west Bengal! West Bengal government recently changes the existing rule for SSC, PSC and clerical level jobs. New Rule for West Bengal PSC, SSC & Clerk job


  • Candidates will be in probation period for first 3 years group C level jobs in Staff Selection Commission, Public Service Commission and clerkship examination.
    Previously the rule was probation period for 1 year and 2 year temporary employment.
  • Candidates have to pass departmental or computer examination to get permanent gov. job. Previously the departmental examination have no such importance.
  • Probation period is 1year expandable if the candidate not able to pass the above examination. But if any candidate also not able to pass within the extended time then he or she may be suspended from work.previously sometimes promotion or salary hike will be stopped but suspension is time first time in this case.
  • The effective date of the notification is 1st march 2013

    All group C employees have to face the consequences. In the 3 year probation period employees also not get any Dearness Allowance (D.A.) or House Rent Allowance (H.R.A.). There will be no EL or special leave only casual leave will be available for 3 years. The salary includes basic, grade pay and medical allowance. 3% yearly increment will be given in the 3 year probation period.
