MP Police Recruitment Test 2012: Eligibity and Application Procedure

Madhya Pradesh Police Recruitment Test
MP PEB is the major body which is responsible for conducting the MP Police Recruitment Test in Madhya Pradesh.
The test is conducted for the recruitment of candidates who are MP Domiciles for various positions in the MP Police Force. The positions for which candidates are recruited in MP Police through PRT are:
Subedar
Sub Inspector(SI)
Assistant Sub Inspector(ASI)
Clerks
Constables
Platoon Commander etc.
Note: Only male candidates are recruited for the posts of Platoon Commanders.

MP PRT Exam Dates and Examination Pattern


MP PRT is usually conducted in the month of September. The PRT application forms are generally available between july and august every year. The cost of the application form is around Rs.750( Rs.350 for SC/ST)

MP Police Recruitment method
MP PRT is organised in 2 rounds. The first round consists of the written test. The second round consists of checking the physical requirements and the Physical Test of the candidate. The physical test is conducted to check for the physical abilities of the candidates like long jump, high jump, 1500 m race etc.

MP PRT Exam Pattern
The MP PRT exam consists of 3 papers for a duration of 2 hrs each. The exam is conducted on Sunday and all the three papers are allotted different time slots from 8 a.m to 10.15 a.m , 12 p.m to 02.15 p.m and 3 p.m to 5.15 p.m. There are 3 papers, one for Science, another for testing the Proficiency in English and Hindi and the third one on General Knowledge. Each paper is of 100 marks.

MP Police Recruitment Test Eligibility Criteria


MP PRT has strict set of eligibility criteria and rules. Following are the major ones that need your attention:

Education Qualifications required for MP Police Recruitment Test(MP PRT)


All the advertised positions have their separate qualification requirements. Here is a generalized description about it so that you can get an idea about it:

Recruitment of Subedar and SI in MP police, Sub Inspector( Divisional Police Force), Sub Inspector ( Special Branch) and recruitment of Platoon Commander requires the candidates to have passed a Bachelor's course from a recognised college. Whereas, recruitment for Sub Inspector ( Q.D) and Sub Inspector (Finger Print Detection) needs the candidates to have a Bachelor's degree in Science(B.Sc) in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Maths or an equivalent qualification. Sub Inspector(Radio) is another technical position which demands a 3 year diploma in Electrical or Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. There are many other positions for which the notifications are issued every year like recruitments for constables in MP Police, vacancies for clerks in MP Police etc.

Physical Qualifications required for MP Police Recruitment Test(MP PRT)


Since the work of the police men are totally dependent on their physical well-being the Police Recruitment test is very strict on the physical criteria and qualification requirements. Following is the eligibility requirements (physical):

  1. Male candidates should atleast have a height of 167.5 cms and female candidates should be atleast 152.4 cms.

  2. Male candidates are required to have a chest size of atleast 81 cms without expansion and 86 cms after expansion.

  3. The candidate should not be physically handicapped in anyway.

  4. The candidates applying for MP PRT should not 'Knocked Knee' or 'Flat Foot'.

  5. Candidates should also not have any eye/vision problems and the candidate should have eye sights medically fit in all respect.

Other eligibility requirements for MP PRT


  • The candidate should be more than 18 years of age and less than 28 years.

  • Only Madhya Pradesh domiciles are eligible for MP Police Recruitment Test. The candidate should be a permanent resident of Madhya Pradesh or should have been living in Madhya Pradesh for over a period of 15 years or should have completed the graduation from a college/university in MP.

How to apply for MP Police Recruitment Test


Applications for MP PRT can only be submitted online at Vyapam and MPOnline. The application fees for candidates from general and OBC categories is Rs. 700 + Rs. 50 online application charges and that for SC/ST candidates is Rs. 300 + Rs 50 online application charges. Candidates can pay the fees through any of the modes: credit/debit cards(any Visa or Master Card) or through internet banking.

Other state candidates cannot apply as only domilciles or students passed from MP are eligible to apply.

hello sir..
i hv applied for si application form.
but there is mistake ..i forget to attached thumb expression or signature.
so now what i do?
can i disqualified for wrriten exam?

I am sorry to say this but yes 99% chances are there that your application will get disqualified for the reason that it would be considered incomplete without the signatures.

For such national level exams there are no place/excuse for any sort of errors to be made from the candidates side. You might have to again apply new year or whenever the next vacancy is declared. All the best!
