Biography of Salman Khan


Salman Khan is a famous celebrity of Bollywood. His full name is Abdul Rashid Salim Salman Khan who was born on 27th of December 1965. Salman KhanHis has done nearly 80 films in Bollywood industry. He has won many Filmfare awards for his fantastic acting in Bollywood films. His father's name is Salim Khan who was a screenwriter and mother is Salma. His stepmother is famous Bollywood actress Helen. Salma was his father's first wife. It is said that his grandfather shifted from Afganistan to India and settled in Madhya Pradesh during Indo-Pak partition. Brothers of Salman Khan are Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan and two sister named Arpita and Alvira. Alvira is married to famous actor and also a director of Bollywood Atul Agnihotri.

Salman has spended his school days in St. Stanislaus High School in Bandra, Mumbai along with his brothers Sohail and Arbaaz. He also studied in Scindia School in Gwalior for few years. In Gwalior Salman and Arbaaz studied in the same school as mentioned earlier. Salman has started his Bollywood career with Biwi Ho To Aisi. The last movie in which he was seen is movie Dabangg which was a blockbuster hit. The breakup of Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai was public news for several year. But now this man does not bother about that. He was also seen in several TV shows for promoting his films and hosts the shows. His bollywood Career started with the film Biwi Ho TO Aisi which released in 1988 and the last film in which he appeared was Dabangg which was a Super Hit Film.

Bollywood career of Salman Khan


Salman has started his acting career from the hit film of 1988 Biwi Ho To Aisi. He then did his next role in Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya which was his first film in which he was the leading actor. For this film he also won Filmfare Best Male Debut Award and a nomination too for Filfare Best Actor Award.

In 1990, he worked in Baaghi: A Rebel for Love in an opposite role of Nagma. This was a hit in Bollywood box-office. In the next year he came up with three hit films – Patthar Ke Phool, Sanam Bewafa and Saajan. But all his films of 1992 and 1993 were failed in Box-office and were a flop. In the year 1994, Salman Khan did Sooraj Barjatya's film Hum Aapke Hain Kaun along with Madhuri Dixit. This film became the highest grossing film of the year.

In 1995, Sallu appeared in Andaz Apna Apna with Aamir Khan. This was a average film and didn't achieved any awards. His next film was Karan Arjun with Shahrukh Khan.His role as Karan brought a Filmfare best Actor Award nomination. This movie was the second biggest hit of the year.

Sallu then did a film of Sanjay Leela Bhansali- Khamosh: The Musical which became Box-office failure and didn't work out. S KhanIn 1997, he contributed two films to Bollywood. One was Judwaa and the other one was Auzaar. Auzaar was a failure but Auzaar hit the box-office. In this film he played a duel role and the opposite actresses in this film were Karisma Kapoor and Rambha. Salman has worked in five films in the year 1998, these all were hit. One among them was Karan Johar's Kuch Kuch Hota Hai was brought a Filmfare Best Supporting Actor to him. In 1999, he worked in total three films. Hum Saath-Saath hain, Biwi No. 1 and Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam.

Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega and Chori Chori Chupke Chupke were his two films of year 2000. After giving these two hit he was seen in another release of 2002 i.e. Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam which became an average hit in the box-office. In the year 2003, he was seen in another hit film Tere Naam. This film was a huge hit and acting of Salman was praised by Critics. He performed in two comedy films in 2005 and 2006 with Mujhse Shaadi Karogi and no Entry. But 2006 was a bad year for him as both of his films i.e. Jaan-E-Mann and Baabul failed.

Salman khan in 2007 worked in Salaam E Ishq which didn't work. But his next film Partner was a success. In the same year, one of the Hollywood films of Salman Khan was Marigold: An Adventure in India in which his opposite actress was Ali larter. This film was a failure. In 2008, Salman was appeared in three films which all were failure. In 2009, he came up with Wanted which was a film choreographed and directed by Prabhu deva. This film was a huge success. Then in the same year his two flops came i.e. Main Aurr Mrs Khanna and London Dreams. In Main Aurr Mrs Khanna he worked with Kareena Kapoor.Unfortunately, the film didn't work in the box-office.

Salman's first release of the year 2010 was Veer which did't do well in the box-office. Then came Arbaaz Khan's film Dabangg which was a super duper hit and released on 10th of September. Salman received many award for this film. This film was also declared as the second-highest grossing film of all time in Bollywood.

Personal Life of Salman Khan


* In 2004, Sallu was declared as in rank 7 in the list of best-looking man in the World.According the People magazine, He was the first best looking man in India.

* On 11th of October 2007, he was also invited from Madame Tussauds wax museum in London museum to inaugurate his wax statue.

* Salman was also caught by Police and have to stand trails. His crime was rash driving and killing a man sleeping in the footpath and he also injured other three peoples around.

* The news about the breakup of Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai was very popular. But after few years of Drama he linked with Katreena Kaif.

* Salman was once sentenced prisoned for one year jail for hunting an endangered species of the country named Chinkara. He remained in Jodhpur jail for one year and then he was bailed.

Salman Khan in TV shows


Salman Khan has hosted the Game show of Sony entertainment Television – Dus ka Dum. In this show one has to think the answer in percentage the question of which is asked by Salman Khan. Many celebrities came in this show. He has hosted both the seasons of Dus Ka Dum in Sony Entertainment Television.

He was also the host of Bigg Boss season 4 in COLORS channel. Before him, Amitabh Bachchan has hosted the show. Sallu has managed the show very well.
