Shravani Nanda: Personal Profile


Born on 7th May of 1991 at Mastarpada of Phulbani district, Shravani Nanda is famous for sprint runner. Her father name is Sri Bana Binari Nanda and mother name Smt. Subasini Nanda. Having interests in sports, dance and painting, she is a brilliant girl scoring 62% in matriculation, 67% in 10+2 arts and first class Graduate in Arts with sociology honours form Rama Devi Autonomous Women's College. She is now pursuing MBA from North Orissa University and working as a junior clerk for East-Coast Railways.

Shravani Nanda: Career Outlook


Every year number of trainer and trainees gather to participate in talent search programs at Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar. In the year 2003, Govt. Girls High School of Phulbani students were participated in the talent search programs at Bhubaneswar; where 7th class student Shravani Nanda was selected for her nice and hidden performances. Later as per the advice of head master and sport teacher, her parents joined Shravani at Govt. Girls High school at Unit-4 and then onwards Shravani's sports career started.

At first, she achieved in many national 100mt and 200mt races. Recently she awarded with Gold in 77th All India Railway Athlete Meet held at Bhubaneswar by finishing 100mt race in 11.95 sec and 200mt race in 24.56sec.

In the year 2003, Shravani positioned in first in below 14 year girl's East Zone Athlete meet held at Cuttack's Triathlon (100mt race, long and high jump) competition.

Under guidance of Coach Nilamadhav Deo, Shravani sports or athlete career enhanced to high. In the year 2005 at 17th East-Zone Athlete meet at Bihar Sports Association, Shravani won Gold medal in below 16 year girls group's 100mt race in 12.80sec.

Till date, Shravani Nanda participated in 32 national and international 100mt and 200mt races. In which, she won 20 Gold, 17 Silver and 3 Bronze medals. Now she keeps aim to be an Olympic medallist.
