The Naina Devi temple is one of the most popular temples of Himachal Pradesh. This temple is situated at the hilltop of Bilaspur District of Himachal Pradesh. 
This famous temple was built by Gujar Shepherd. Also, this temple is well connected with the National Highway 21. Thus, one can easily reach this temple by the means of road transports. You will also find a cable car facility which can be used to reach the top to the temple. You can lookout much beautiful scenery from the hilltop. These include Gobind Sagar lake. This lake is a man-made lake which was created by Bhakra-Nanga Dam.
This temple is a holy platform which is dedicated to Mata Naina Devi. This temple is located at the top of one of the hills of Bilaspur in HP. This temple is one amongst the 51 Shakti Peeth. The history of this temple tells about the sacrifice of Sati. According to the legends, different parts of the body of Sati fell on earth when she sacrificed herself. At that time, the eye of Sati fell on this spot where now the Naina Devi Temple is situated. This temple was named "Naina" which means eyes, suggesting the eyes of Sati. Thus, the Goddess from then onwards known as Naina Devi. The temple of Naina Devi was constructed after the fall of eyes of Sati on this spot.
