History
This place came into the existence during the 40 years ago, and was developed by the Tibetan people. What is the reason that those have left their house and came here because during the war with China these people believed in the Jain Religion and china's people mostly believed in Buddhism Religion so they want these people also prays our religion but these people refused it so China want to kill them so they left their house and then only Himachal government has given the space for living, in Himachal they lived about 4 to 5 places and its main branch is in Dharamsala where Dalai Lama lives. In Himachal they lived in Dalhousie, Dharmasala, Lahaul and spiti, Shimla and Solan areas. So here we are talking about its one of the best place in solan near kalaghat which is known as Daulanji monastery. This place is so designed that when you reach this place then there about 80 to 100 stairs for the it, then you reach the main parts of it where A statue of Lord Buddha's are placed, in this room there are about 200 chairs are placed for the sitting where they pray Twice in a day. So when you visit this place then you can take photo of it but you are not allowed to sit these chairs if you are not Jainism. Then apart from there is big library where so many books are placed on the self and you can also read these books, there are books related to the Jainism Religion and also there are some magazine, journals and newspapers are also present. Apart from this there is another building which is under construction which is looking so good even it is not completed. There is separate school for boys and girls are also made, in these schools they are taught about the Jain religion. So after all it is a good place for the wondering.
How to reach this place
This place is situated on the boundary of Solan and Sirmour area, it is about 15 km from the solan, there you can reach by bus or taxi, it is on the Narag road, Firstly you have to take a bus for the kalaghat which is about 13 km from the solan then you have taken taxi or another bus for the monastery. You can also reach by train and the nearest railway station is Kalka Shimla Rail, from where it is about 15 km. the best season to visit this place is in the month of September because it is not too much hot. Even you can visit in the New Year because there is no snowfall but you have to wear warm clothes.
