The opening ceremony of the fair was held on the 5th November, Tuesday which is inaugurated by the Chief Guest of the ceremony K Narayan Guleria, Member of Civil Congress Committee and Deputy Member of Himachal Soil Development Bank. In the opening ceremony there are so many peoples were present, while addressing to the peoples he said that festivals are cultural treasure and it is the responsibility of our youth to save it so that our future generation will also see our culture.


He also said that Himachal Pradesh is the land of Festivals and gods, here every district celebrates its unique festivals and worship different gods.


In the opening ceremony the president of the Pandoh village present memento to the Chief Guest of of the ceremony and he also addresses to the peoples on this occasion.


History of the Fair
This fair was one of the oldest fair of the Mandi district which was firstly celebrated in the 15th century. This fair was celebrated in the memory of Mata Bhairva, who is one of the religious Mata of the Mandi district who sacrifices her life for the good work and kill so many bad peoples and tell the peoples about the truth. When she died than peoples built a temple in her memory and celebrates every year festival in her memory so that peoples will remember always her.


So this festival every year celebrated in the month of November which will continue for three days in which so many function will be held.

When this festival started than idol of the Bhairva Mata was bring to the Ground through the main market and keep in the Ground and people take blessing from the Mata.
